The Space Between the Systems

A Career of Order

My name is Vivek Ravichandran and for more than 11 years, I have spent helping companies organize their production and quality logic, specializing in their SAP PP and QM systems. My professional life has been defined by Master, Configurational and Transactional Data amongst the high-stakes pressure of end-to-end implementations, Data migrations and Hyper-care support.
I have spent a decade helping global industries find order through data migration and complex system architecture.

But over time, I realized that the most important “Data” to maintain isn’t found in a server—it’s the one inside us.

A Student of Silence

While my work is about building external structures, my practice is about deconstructing internal ones. My journey as a practitioner is a quiet counterweight to a decade of project milestones –

Vipassana:
I have completed a few full 10-day retreats. In the silence of those days, I learned that true service often happens in the mind, amongst the very many distortions and clutter.
There is a internal cleansing that is required to start on the Path.

The Zen Path:
Through several Mini-Sesshins (intensive meditation periods), I have practiced the art of “just sitting.” It is a practice of letting the noise of the world fade until only presence remains.

The Philosophical Root:
From an Introduction to Tibetan philosophy to Studies of Buddhism, to the disciplined rounds of a meditation hall, I seek the “still point” in the middle of a busy life.

Echoes on the Path

This site is where I attempt to integrate the very “many” lives I have go to walk through. It is not a resume or a guide; it is simply a collection of Echoes from the path. I believe that we can be both effective in our work and quiet in our hearts.
Wherever we go, There we are.
I’ve always liked this aphorism. We need to look at what is happening to us at every moment. The presence itself will show us what is needed in the moment.

Continue the Conversation

I’m always open to connecting with fellow practitioners or professionals looking for a more thoughtful way to live. If something here resonates with your own journey, I’d love to hear from you.
